The studio behind Encore

Built inside
a working studio.

Encore is made by Passionate Pursuit — a software company that grew out of a working design studio. Which means it was built out of a very specific pain.

Studio engagements kept exposing the same problem: a kickoff form the client half-finished, a “what’s your vibe?” call, and a first round that was really just discovery in disguise, billed as design.

The fix wasn’t a better form. It was realizing the client shouldn’t be describing anything at all. They should be shown things, and choose. The studio started running kickoffs that way — and stopped starting blind.

Encore is that practice, made into a product. Not a theory of discovery — a working studio’s actual opening move.

What we believe about starting work.

Show, don’t ask.

Taste is recognized, not described. Put real imagery in front of people.

The client does the showing.

Discovery isn’t you presenting — it’s them choosing, in a session you composed.

A decision beats an adjective.

“Direction A” ends arguments that “warm but elevated” starts.

The pages are the deliverable.

Discovery isn’t done when the call ends — it’s done when the page you’d send exists.

Its own medicine.

Encore grew from Passionate Pursuit’s own visual discovery practice — the evidence trail on the right is the shape of what a session leaves behind: choices kept, reasons quoted, a decision dated, a page sent.

Why “Encore”

Kickoff should feel like an opening night — and end with the audience asking for more.

The name is a promise about how discovery should feel: staged with intention, over in an evening, and remembered. The pages are what the audience leaves with — what everyone agreed they saw.

Start your next engagement the way we start ours.

“It’s the difference between asking someone to describe a song and just pressing play.”
